The Lakes Area Music Festival is made possible through generous contributions by over 250 volunteers each season!
There are many opportunities to get involved:
Providing a meal is a wonderful way to meet some of our festival musicians. Lunches are served between morning and afternoon rehearsals, often times at the First Presbyterian Church. Evening meals may be hosted as an informal dinner at your house, your favorite restaurant, or even on the pontoon!
Providing housing in host homes for musicians is a large volunteer component of this festival. Many hosts enjoy engaging with their guests, listening to them practice, and then seeing them on stage! This year we will need housing for an length of time July 25 - August 17, 2015.
Transportation is provided for musicians flying in from around the country. Do you have a vehicle you could lend to one of our artists to go to rehearsals and other festival events in the Lakes Area? Or would you be willing to shuttle musicians to or from the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport?
Artistic Operations of the festival ensure that concerts run smoothly, both in the house and backstage. Join our team of ushers or stage managers. Or, join our crew and help prepare our venue for another amazing season.
Miscellaneous administrative tasks ensure our organization runs smoothly behind the scenes. Assist in various clerical projects, help spread the word by distribute marketing materials, or serve on an event planning committee if you love to throw a fantastic party!
