Daniel Worsham, horn
Dan is a freelance horn player and a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota. While completing his degree he studied under the Minnesota Orchestra’s Michael C. Gast and Caroline Lemen.
Dan enjoys playing any position in the horn section from Principal to 4th and his most memorable performance so far is playing principal on Schumann’s Konzertstuck for 4 horns and Orchestra in the Breck School chapel. Dan plays with small ensembles and community Orchestras throughout the greater Twin Cities region and will find any excuse to play chamber music.
Mr. Worsham is also a composer, arranger and transcriber. He has experience on the technical support team for Finale and Smart Music and values how much this has helped his writing and arranging of music electronically. Dan also enjoys writing and producing hip-hop instrumentals under the name Dando for Grid11 beats, TYMY beats and the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis.
Dan will be pursuing a Masters degree in horn performance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX this fall and is looking forward to the big move.
